Paris Summer Project Week 4

Hey Everyone! We are on week 4 already! It is amazing how fast time flies! This has been a great past week as we have seen God work in so many ways! Over the first 3 weeks we have seen the number of Gospel conversations steadily increase so this week we did a 150 for Him challenge. Meaning that we set a goal of sharing the Gospel with 150 people within this past week and doing it all for the glory of the Lord (hence the “for HIM”). I will let you know next week if we made it to the goal. As for the Pictures, some of the first pictures for this week you will see Desi & Kevin (Our Co-Directors for the Project) and Kamaya & I at the Arc De Triumph. Funny story with that is that there is a round-about that is probably 10 lanes wide going around this (French students call it the most dangerous traffic in Paris). The Arc is in the middle of this and we didn’t know how to get there so we just ran across the lanes of traffic, once we made it we realized that there is a tunnel that goes under the round-about.  Next you will see pictures of our “Family Supper” where we had a picnic in the park near the place we’re staying. We have “Family Supper” every Tuesday evening.  Next you’ll see some pictures of us staff trying to make donuts with pizza crust dough…..it didn’t work as well as we thought, lets just say they look better than they tasted.  After that there are more pictures of students sharing the Gospel at Luxembourg park. Then you’ll see some pictures of us with the other summer projects that are here this summer. Yes, there are 3 summer projects in Paris this summer. We are all on different campuses and in different parts of the city. We met at a church and had a prayer and worship night with them. After that we have a picture of 2 of our guys on project,  Jeff & Freddy. They were posing with some umbrellas on the day that we got rained out at the park.  Finally, you’ll find pictures of our family fun night! This week we had Family “Olympics” with 3 teams (red, white, and blue,) For these Olympics the events were egg on the spoon relay, wheelbarrow race, three legged race, baguette eating contest, water balloon toss, bible trivia, and paper boat race. We also did an egg toss for the fun of it. We had a lot of fun with first place winning the Twix candy bar pack!  When the Olympics were over we had a movie night with popcorn in one of the staff rooms!
